Looking for a new retirement plan provider can be time consuming, cumbersome and downright frustrating. Montgomery Retirement Plan Advisors acts as your advocate as we shoulder the responsibility of a process-driven plan provider Request for Proposal (RFP), including collecting the quotes, spreadsheeting the data, and ultimately, recommending the most appropriate provider.

Throughout the process, corporate officers meet their fiduciary duty to monitor plan fees and make important plan provider decisions, while ensuring the best possible plan at the most competitive cost for participants.

For Florida municipalities, we will work closely with your Purchasing Department and legal counsel to conform the search protocols to Florida law and local regulations.

RFP Design Working in consultation with you, we create a custom Request for Proposal based upon plan demographics, client questionnaire and agreed-upon priorities.
Initial Provider Scan
 Your search criteria is matched with a universe of approximately 80 providers, narrowing the field to those that best fit your plan.
Request for Proposals Either we or your purchasing department will send the RFP to the short list of providers.

Semi-Finalist Based on an analysis of the vendor RFP responses, we will help you narrow the search to 3 to 6 semi-finalists.
Written Analysis Capped by a concise Executive Summary to highlight the key differentiators, we prepare an in-depth written report of approximately 50 pages comparing the semi-finalists.

Selection of Finalists We discuss our report with you and determine the preference of the Retirement Plan Committee to determine the final group of vendors.
Finalist Presentations We will coordinate face-to-face vendor presentations to your Retirement Plan committee and oiguide discussions.
Scoring and Decision After the presentations, we meet with you to score each of the finalists and facilitate your decision.
Implementation & Transition We coordinate the process of analyzing contracts, final negotiations, transitioning data and assets, managing the blackout period and communicating with employees.
